Ready for Halloween in Georgetown

I was restless this morning, so I took a walk into Georgetown. I marvel every year at how strongly the American upper class has embraced tacky decorating for Halloween.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these people chose their house because it goes so well with their Halloween obsession.

The spider sort of lunges at people as they go by.

How do they get in the gate?

A more traditional approach.

The early maples are at their peak, and since there has been no frost there are still lots of flowers. All in all it was a fabulous walk despite the heavy clouds, but now I should get back to work.
