Gingrich Finally Rethinks Promoting Democracy by Force

Newt Gingrich, in a recent interview:
I am a neoconservative. But at some point, even if you are a neoconservative, you need to take a deep breath to ask if our strategies in the Middle East have succeeded. It may be that our capacity to export democracy is a lot more limited than we thought.
Does this mean that even neoconservatives can learn from 12 years of disastrous policy? If so, that would give me new hope for the future of American politics. But maybe it's just Newt being weird again.
